Deputy Director: Strategic Sourcing

A three- year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Business Management/ Purchasing/ Supply Chain Management (SCM)/ Procurement Management. 3-5 years’ experience in Transversal Sourcing at a Junior Management (ASD Level);

Duties

To manage Strategic Sourcing services to the Gauteng Provincial Government. Manage the increase of BBBEE Preferential Procurement spend from 60% to 70%. Manage the adherence to Operational Budget by achieving 98% budget spend. Improve tender processes and reduce turnaround time (from 120 -90 days). Manage contract to client satisfaction and to increase customer satisfaction. Reports submitted timeously. Management of staff.

Confirmation of final appointment will be subject to a positive security clearance. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Failure to submit all the requested documents will result in the application not being considered. The persons appointed to this position will be subjected to a security clearance. SMS candidates will be required to undergo a Competency Assessment as prescribed by the DPSA. All shortlisted candidates, including SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments.

One will be a practical exercise, and the other will be an Integrity (Ethical Conduct) Assessment.
